About me and my work (prabhakar)

FESCOM

I am working for the betterment of life for Elders I am working in FESCOM for last 14 years in different capacities in FESCOM Mumbai region,rom Treasure to vice president and in as central committee member ( President Web site committee )

I have designed web site (www.fescon.org.in ) and maintained from Sept 2008 to Oct. 2012 for 4 years until result of 2012 fescom election , also organized 9 blogs for each region for current events . Now working on www.aisccon.org. web site as an Auther

Three Jyeshtha Nagarik sangh

I have organized two Jyeshtha Nagarik sangh in Kurla . And through MHADA got office cum special Reading room for them ( K.Bhaurao Patil Wachanalaya) on main road at 2 mins walk from station We have to fought for 2 years with Mumbai corporation . Since March 2013 I have organized Senior citizens Org. in Majiwada Thane and have got 94 members in 3 months I have arranged for free library through GRANTH TUMACYA DARI scheme in my home (Office )for seniors

Dignity Foundation

I was working in Dignity Foundation as Chief Dignitarian since 2002 and worked in Civic work, I.D. for seniors and Second carrier work for over three years by managing 25 seniors in M.G.L.gas pipe safety line protection work (Dignity Foundation) Lokasatta Marathi daily has given one column news on me for this in 5-8-2004

Jagruti Palak sangh

I have organized Mentally retarded children’ Parent’s org. (Jagruti Palak sangh for Municipal Schools and registered ,lot of work is done in their cause in last 10 years

And so many other actvities - viz I am also working with Vaishnav charitable and medical trust in their medical social service for Warakari in Ashadhi Wari Pandharpur for 18 days since for last 12 years. I am editor of their Magazine Khara Vaishnav since the beginning I had published a paper Kurla Sanchar (Editor) in 2002 Received Satkar murti puraskar from YBChavhan pratishthan in -2006 for my local social work

Education and Work before retirement

Education I am graduate (B.Sc) D.M.L.T (Pathilogy J.J.HospiGrant Med.Colege,) Diploma and Post graduate in Naturopathy. And worked as Senior Pathology Technician in Government and Mumbai Port trust Hospitals (1957 to 1989) .I have recently completed post graduate Diploma in Gerontology course in sept 2011 in Tata Insti.Social. Science (TISS)

I am Senior citizen, age 85 years

In open completion for Satkar Murti falicitation for Senior Social worker by Yshawantarao chavan pratishthan in Octo 2006 I was on the top and won the price. Number of Satkars from different organizations

State Government had given me S.E.O Hon post for my social work in 2002
