Daughter  of shri. vishnupant pendse of kolhapur , private secretary of chhatrapati  R ajaram maharaj  acting head of kolhapur state before  Independence    He also  served as care taker of Rajaram maharaj and his sister Akkasaheb maharaj  When Shri Shahu maharaj, great reformist was in charge of Kolhapur 

She was born on 21/10/1911 in Kolhapur first child of Shri vishnupant Pendse of kolhapur  married with Dr.kashinath d.Chhatre in 1930 . in  marriage ceremony  king of Kolhapur State chhatrapati Rajaram maharaj  was in the marriage procession with Royal family  .                        A memorable  procession with Elephants Horse riders and  other vehicles
